BCNAR Regions
The BC Network for Aging Research is organized into five regions which reflect BC's Health Authorities and research-based Universities. Before funding cuts, a Regional Liaison Officer was assigned to each area bridging academic, healthcare and community researchers both regionally and provincially. We hope to resume these positions when funding becomes available.
RLO duties include:
- Linking and collaborating with sectors (academic, government, community, private sector)
- Facilitating new collaborations between aging health researchers
- Expanding network membership
- Populating BCNAR's database of Aging Research
- Organizing and participating in regional workshops, training, presentations and meetings
- Participating in working groups to develop and move objectives of BCNAR forward
