Annual BC Home and Community Care Conference
The conference highlights some of the innovative projects and pilots that are happening within BC in the Home and Community Care sector (e.g. falls prevention, partnership between Home and Community Care and Primary Health Care and end of life). The conference has an excellent slate of speakers covering a broad range of topics. Some of the highlights include:
• Kim Carter, Ombudsman role in senior’s care
• New Strategic Directions, Ministry of Health, Leigh Ann Seller and Katie Hill
• Alex Steffan (keynote) Innovative Solutions
• John Hirdes, Inter RAI and staffing needs
• Larry Blain, Partnerships BC + John Lynch, CMHC
• Lee Doney, HEABC, Labour Relations/Collective Bargaining
• Integrated Care Models, Kaiser Permante and Impact BC
• Michael Campbell, Gala Dinner Presentation
Concurrent sessions have been structured under three streams: clinical, leadership and operational. We hope that this will ensure topics geared to the specific interest of you and your staff and colleagues.
We encourage you to register and book your hotel rooms as soon as possible.
There will be more than 50 exhibit booths displaying the latest products and services.
The Monday night Gala Dinner features financial expert Michael Campbell as this year’s keynote speaker and is a tradition at this conference to socialize and meet new colleagues.
