Affordable Housing for Seniors

On May 8, BCNPHA, BCNAR, SPARC BC, and Senior Services Society (funding provided by CIHR-IA) hosted affordable housing for seniors: collaborating to create a research agenda & action plan, one-day workshop to develop a research agenda and action plan that works towards housing that is appropriate and affordable for an aging population in BC.

With more than 75 participants across four sites (Vancouver, Prince George, Kelowna and Victoria) simultaneously, there was representation from non-profit associations, advocate groups, community organizations, academics, health authorities, provincial ministry, and others

The ultimate impact of this meeting was combined knowledge and action aimed at improving affordable housing and related services for the aging population in BC. Stay tuned for more details.
