STAR Program

FUNDING

Student Research Data Collection Awards

The funding for BCNAR by the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research has been terminated as of March 31, 2010.  BCNAR regrets that at this time we are unable to offer any further grants or awards.

TRAINING

BCNAR regrets that we are not able to offer this training workshop at this time.

For those graduate students and post-docs involved in aging research, an intensive two day training workshop will be offered which will focus on developing specific research skills, including proposal development and knowledge translation. The workshop will also serve as an opportunity to network with peers and mentors who are also involved in aging research. All costs associated with this workshop covered by BCNAR.

NETWORKING

BCNAR coordinates and co-sponsors events throughout the year to bring together researchers from different research streams, academic institutions, community-based organizations and health regions to generate innovative aging research. For a list of up-coming events see our events page.

BCNAR’s membership database is an inventory of people in BC and beyond who are currently involved in aging health research. Search by region, organization, and methodological expertise to find out who is doing aging health research in your field and area. Click here
